The sugar maple tree is a tree native to Canada and the United States, but over the past few centuries efforts have been to spread it more widely across the world, hence why I was able to find one in Leicester.

These kinds of maple trees are frequently used to create the eponymous syrup which is one of Canadas most well known exports!
